Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
MIP5, or Major Intrinsic Protein 5, belongs to the aquaporin family of membrane proteins that facilitate the transport of water and small solutes across cell membranes. Its discovery has sparked significant interest due to its potential roles in various physiological processes, including osmoregulation and cell signaling. Research into recombinant MIP5 has gained traction as scientists aim to understand its structure-function relationship and physiological relevance in different organisms, particularly in plants and some bacteria. In agriculture, MIP5 has been implicated in improving drought resistance and stress tolerance in crops, making it a focal point for biotechnological applications. Furthermore, elucidating the mechanisms through which MIP5 operates can provide insights into its potential therapeutic uses in human health, particularly in contexts where water transport is disrupted. The study of MIP5 thus not only enhances our understanding of fundamental biological processes but also opens avenues for innovative solutions to environmental and health challenges.
