Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
GYS1, or glycogen synthase 1, is a crucial enzyme responsible for glycogen synthesis, playing a vital role in glucose metabolism and energy storage within cells. The research surrounding GYS1 is driven by its significance in various metabolic disorders, including diabetes and obesity, where impaired glycogen synthesis can lead to dysregulated glucose levels and associated complications. As the primary isoform of glycogen synthase found in the liver and skeletal muscle, GYS1's functionality is essential for maintaining systemic glucose homeostasis. Moreover, understanding its molecular structure and regulatory mechanisms could provide insights into therapeutic targets for metabolic diseases. Recent studies have employed recombinant protein technologies to produce GYS1 for biochemical characterization, enabling researchers to explore its enzymatic properties and interaction with regulatory molecules. By investigating the impact of post-translational modifications, such as phosphorylation, on GYS1 activity, scientists aim to unravel the complex signaling pathways that modulate glycogen metabolism. The potential for GYS1 as a biomarker or therapeutic target underscores the importance of ongoing research in this area, as a deeper understanding of its function could lead to innovative treatments for metabolic disorders characterized by glycogen dysregulation.
