Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
VCAN (Versican), a member of the hyaluronan-binding proteoglycan family, plays a crucial role in extracellular matrix (ECM) organization and cellular behaviors such as proliferation, migration, and differentiation. Research has shown that VCAN is involved in various physiological and pathological processes, including development, tissue repair, and tumorigenesis. Its diverse isoforms, generated through alternative splicing, contribute to its functional versatility, with different isoforms exhibiting distinct roles in modulating cell-matrix interactions and signaling pathways. Given its significant involvement in cancer metastasis and inflammation, VCAN has garnered interest as a potential biomarker and therapeutic target. Studies have indicated that altered VCAN expression is associated with various forms of cancer, making it a subject of intense investigation in the context of tumor microenvironments and migration mechanisms. Furthermore, understanding the regulation and function of VCAN could provide insights into novel strategies for treating diseases characterized by ECM dysregulation. Therefore, ongoing research aims to elucidate the molecular mechanisms governing VCAN's activity and its implications in health and disease, highlighting its potential value in developing targeted therapies and innovative diagnostic approaches.
