Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CD18 is a crucial component of the leukocyte adhesion molecules, forming a part of the integrin family that plays a vital role in immune response and inflammation. It pairs with CD11 subunits to form various integrins such as LFA-1 (CD11a/CD18), Mac-1 (CD11b/CD18), and p150,95 (CD11c/CD18), which are essential for leukocyte adhesion, migration, and signal transduction. Moreover, CD18 is critical for the trafficking of immune cells to sites of infection and inflammation, making it a key player in both innate and adaptive immunity. Deficiencies in CD18 can lead to severe immunodeficiency disorders, known as leukocyte adhesion deficiency (LAD), where the body fails to mount adequate immune responses. This underscores the importance of studying CD18, particularly its structure and function, to understand various immunological disorders better and develop targeted therapies. Recombinant CD18 proteins have been produced to investigate their roles and mechanisms, enabling researchers to explore potential therapeutic applications in autoimmune diseases, cancer, and other disorders associated with aberrant cell adhesion and migration. By elucidating the mechanisms of CD18 and its interactions within the immune system, researchers aim to pave the way for novel therapeutic strategies to enhance immune function and improve patient outcomes in various diseases.
