Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The study of SMC3 (Structural Maintenance of Chromosomes 3) recombinant protein has garnered significant interest due to its crucial role in maintaining chromosomal stability during cell division. SMC3 is a component of the cohesin complex, which is essential for sister chromatid cohesion, ensuring proper segregation of chromosomes during mitosis and meiosis. This protein is also implicated in DNA repair processes and gene regulation, further highlighting its significance in cellular processes and development. Abnormalities in SMC3 function or expression have been associated with various diseases, including cancer, where faulty chromosome segregation can lead to aneuploidy and tumor progression. Researchers are investigating the structural and functional aspects of SMC3 to better understand its role in chromosomal dynamics, as well as its potential as a therapeutic target. The recombinant expression of SMC3 allows for detailed biochemical and biophysical characterization, enabling insights into its interactions with other proteins within the cohesin complex. This research holds promise for developing novel strategies in cancer treatment and understanding genetic disorders linked to chromosomal abnormalities. Overall, SMC3 remains a focal point in genomic stability research, shedding light on the intricate mechanisms that safeguard cellular integrity.
