Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PLOD1 (Procollagen-Lysine, 2-Oxoglutarate 5-Dioxygenase 1) encodes an enzyme that plays a critical role in collagen synthesis by catalyzing the hydroxylation of lysine residues in collagen precursors. This post-translational modification is essential for the stability and integrity of collagen fibers, which are crucial for maintaining the structural integrity of various tissues. Abnormal functioning of PLOD1 has been linked to several connective tissue disorders, including osteogenesis imperfecta and scleroderma. Recent studies have highlighted the potential of PLOD1 as a target for therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing collagen formation and repairing tissue damage. Furthermore, with the growing interest in regenerative medicine and tissue engineering, PLOD1 recombinant protein is being explored for its ability to improve the mechanical properties of engineered tissues. By producing PLOD1 recombinantly, researchers can better understand its functional mechanisms, evaluate its role in disease pathology, and assess its suitability for developing novel therapies. Ongoing investigations into the structure-function relationship of PLOD1, alongside advances in protein engineering techniques, are expected to shed light on its potential applications in both basic research and clinical settings, paving the way for innovative strategies to treat collagen-related disorders and tissue degeneration.
