  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

L3MBTL (Lethal(3)malignant brain tumor-like) is a protein that plays a crucial role in regulating developmental processes and maintaining genomic stability. Its function is primarily associated with epigenetic regulation, where it is involved in the recognition of specific di-methylated Lysines on histone tails, thereby influencing chromatin dynamics and gene expression. Research into L3MBTL has gained momentum due to its implications in cancer biology; alterations in its expression and function have been linked to various malignancies, including leukemia and solid tumors. Furthermore, L3MBTL is part of the broader MBT (Malignant Brain Tumor) domain-containing protein family, which is known to participate in multiple cellular processes, such as DNA repair, cell differentiation, and apoptosis. Investigating the structural and functional properties of L3MBTL can provide insights into its role in tumorigenesis and may highlight potential therapeutic targets for cancer treatment. Additionally, studies have shown that L3MBTL may interact with other key regulatory proteins, suggesting a complex network of interactions that are critical for cellular homeostasis. Understanding these pathways holds promise for developing novel strategies to manipulate L3MBTL activity in order to restore normal cellular function in cancerous cells. Overall, research on L3MBTL is crucial for unraveling the intricacies of tumor biology and offers potential avenues for innovative cancer therapies.
