Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
LOXHD1 (L-type lectin domain containing 1) is a protein that plays a crucial role in auditory function, particularly in the development and maintenance of hair cells in the inner ear. Mutations in the LOXHD1 gene have been linked to autosomal recessive non-syndromic hearing loss, highlighting its significance in hearing biology. The study of LOXHD1 recombinant protein is essential for understanding its structure and function, as well as its interactions with other proteins in the auditory pathway. Additionally, investigating LOXHD1 may provide insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying hair cell integrity and may lead to potential therapeutic strategies for restoring hearing in individuals with LOXHD1-related deafness. Current research focuses on the expression, purification, and characterization of LOXHD1 recombinant protein, utilizing biophysical and biochemical methods to elucidate its functional properties. By exploring the role of LOXHD1 in hair cell development and auditory signaling, scientists aim to develop targeted interventions that could mitigate hearing loss and improve quality of life for affected individuals.
