Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
FPA (Farnesyltransferase-Related Proteins) are a class of proteins that undergo post-translational modifications, significantly influencing various cellular processes, including signal transduction, cell growth, and differentiation. The research on FPA proteins has gained momentum due to their critical roles in oncogenic signaling pathways, particularly in cancer development, where their aberrant activity can lead to uncontrolled cell proliferation. Understanding the structure and function of FPA proteins is essential for developing targeted therapies, particularly in cancers where farnesylation plays a pivotal role. Furthermore, the intricate balance between farnesylation and other modifications, such as palmitoylation, adds complexity to their regulatory mechanisms. Recent advancements in molecular biology techniques have enabled researchers to elucidate the interactions of FPA proteins with other cellular components, paving the way for novel therapeutic strategies. As a result, the study of FPA proteins not only enhances our comprehension of fundamental biological processes but also holds promise for the development of innovative therapeutic approaches to treat various diseases, particularly cancer.
