  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

LptE (Lipoprotein transport factor E) is a critical component in the lipopolysaccharide transport system of Gram-negative bacteria, playing a pivotal role in the translocation of lipoproteins across the inner membrane. Understanding the structure and function of LptE is essential, as it contributes to the bacterial cell envelope's integrity and the pathogenesis of various bacteria, including notable human pathogens. The research on LptE focuses on its mechanism of action and interaction with other components of the lipopolysaccharide transport system. Recent studies have employed techniques such as X-ray crystallography and cryo-electron microscopy to elucidate the structural features of LptE, revealing insights into its functional properties. These findings pave the way for potential therapeutic interventions targeting the LptE pathway, which could lead to the development of novel antibiotics aimed at combating antibiotic-resistant strains. Furthermore, the study of LptE serves as a model for understanding similar transport mechanisms in other organisms, underscoring its broader biological significance. Thus, ongoing research into LptE and its associated pathways is crucial for advancing our knowledge of bacterial physiology and developing strategies to address the challenges posed by bacterial infections.
