  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

POLR2K, one of the essential components of RNA polymerase II, plays a crucial role in the transcription of protein-coding genes in eukaryotic cells. As part of the core enzyme, POLR2K is involved in the synthesis of messenger RNA (mRNA), which is pivotal for translating genetic information into proteins. Recent studies have highlighted the significance of POLR2K in various pathological conditions, including cancer, where its overexpression has been linked to enhanced cell proliferation and tumorigenesis. Additionally, POLR2K is critical for the regulation of gene expression and response to environmental stimuli, making it a key player in developmental processes and cellular differentiation. Recombinant POLR2K proteins have emerged as valuable tools for studying the mechanisms of transcription and gene regulation, as well as for potential therapeutic applications. Researchers are focusing on the structural and functional characterization of POLR2K to understand its interactions with other transcription factors and regulatory elements within the transcription machinery. This research aims to delineate the pathways influenced by POLR2K and explore its implications in health and disease, ultimately contributing to the development of targeted therapies that may mitigate the aberrant transcriptional processes associated with various disorders.
