  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

HIP1 (Huntingtin Interacting Protein 1) is a protein that has gained considerable interest in recent years due to its potential role in various cellular processes and its implications in neurodegenerative diseases. Initially identified as a binding partner of the Huntingtin protein, which is implicated in Huntington's disease, HIP1 is involved in clathrin-mediated endocytosis and cytoskeletal organization. Research has shown that HIP1 can influence neurotransmitter release, promoting neuronal survival and impacting synaptic function. Moreover, dysregulation of HIP1 has been linked to various diseases, including cancers and neurodegenerative disorders. In addition, the structure of HIP1 reveals a domain organization that suggests possible interactions with lipids and other proteins, further complicating its functional roles in cellular pathways. Recent studies have aimed to elucidate the exact mechanisms through which HIP1 operates, as understanding these pathways could provide insights into therapeutic targets for Huntington's disease and other related conditions. Given the critical functions of HIP1 in cellular homeostasis and disease, ongoing research continues to explore its molecular interactions, regulatory mechanisms, and therapeutic potential, marking it as a significant focus within biomedical research.
