Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
MTRR (methionine synthase reductase) is a crucial enzyme involved in the methionine cycle, where it plays a significant role in the regeneration of methionine from homocysteine, thereby facilitating the synthesis of S-adenosylmethionine (SAM), a vital methyl donor in numerous biological processes. The MTRR gene encodes the protein responsible for maintaining the active form of methionine synthase, which is essential for DNA methylation, neurotransmitter synthesis, and overall cellular function. Disruptions in MTRR function have been linked to various health issues, including cardiovascular diseases, neurodegenerative disorders, and developmental abnormalities. Consequently, understanding the structure and function of MTRR is of great importance, as it may shed light on the mechanisms underlying these conditions and offer potential therapeutic targets. Recent studies have focused on the expression and purification of recombinant MTRR proteins to investigate their biochemical properties, enzymatic activity, and interaction with other cellular components. Such research is critical for elucidating MTRR's role in methylation processes and its implications for human health, contributing to a more comprehensive understanding of metabolic regulation and potential interventions in related diseases.
