Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
OR2A2 is a member of the olfactory receptor (OR) gene family, which is pivotal in the sensory perception of odors. As a G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR), OR2A2 plays a crucial role in the olfactory system, contributing to the detection of a diverse range of volatile compounds. The study of OR2A2 has garnered attention due to its potential implications in understanding olfactory signaling pathways, which are not only essential for the sense of smell but also linked to various biological functions, including memory, emotion, and behavior. Recent advancements in recombinant protein technology have allowed researchers to express and purify OR2A2 in heterologous systems, enabling detailed characterizations of its structure and function. This research is vital for deciphering the intricate mechanisms underlying olfactory perception and could lead to novel applications in perfumery, flavoring, and even therapeutic interventions for olfactory disorders. By elucidating the signaling dynamics of OR2A2, scientists aim to pave the way for future studies that could enhance our understanding of olfactory GPCRs and their role in human physiology.
