Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Insulin-like growth factor binding protein 5 (IGFBP-5) is a member of the IGFBP family that plays a crucial role in mediating the effects of insulin-like growth factors (IGFs) on cellular processes such as growth, differentiation, and apoptosis. Elevated levels of IGFBP-5 have been associated with various physiological and pathological conditions, including cancer progression, tissue regeneration, and age-related diseases. Its multifunctional properties not only regulate IGF availability but also can exert IGF-independent effects by interacting with other molecules in the extracellular matrix and cell surfaces. The recombinant production of IGFBP-5 holds significant potential for therapeutic applications, as it can be utilized to modulate IGF signaling pathways and influence cell behavior in various contexts. Research into IGFBP-5 recombinant protein focuses on understanding its structure-function relationships, optimizing production methods, and elucidating its biological roles in different tissues. As such, studying IGFBP-5 at a molecular level is essential for developing targeted therapies aimed at controlling IGF-related disorders and enhancing tissue repair mechanisms. Additionally, the exploration of IGFBP-5 as a biomarker for certain diseases could provide valuable insights for early diagnosis and treatment strategies. Overall, the investigation of IGFBP-5 recombinant proteins contributes to a broader understanding of IGF signaling dynamics and their implications in health and disease.
