Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Placental growth factor 2 (PlGF-2) is a member of the vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) family, which plays a crucial role in angiogenesis, the formation of new blood vessels. It is primarily expressed in the placenta and is implicated in various physiological and pathological processes, including fetal development, wound healing, and inflammatory responses. Research on PlGF-2 has gained significant attention due to its potential applications in understanding and treating various diseases, such as cancer, cardiovascular disorders, and diabetic complications, where abnormal angiogenesis plays a pivotal role. The recombinant form of PlGF-2 has been developed to facilitate detailed studies of its biological functions and therapeutic potential. By producing PlGF-2 as a recombinant protein, researchers can investigate its mechanisms of action, interactions with receptors, and influence on endothelial cell behavior under controlled conditions. Additionally, the availability of recombinant PlGF-2 allows for the exploration of its implications in clinical settings, such as its role as a biomarker for certain diseases or as a target for novel therapeutic strategies aimed at modulating angiogenesis. This growing body of research underscores the importance of PlGF-2 in both basic science and translational medicine, paving the way for innovative treatments that harness its angiogenic properties.
