Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SAMHD1 (Sterile Alpha Motif and Histidine-Aspartate Domain-containing Protein 1) is a crucial cellular protein that plays a significant role in regulating the immune response and viral infection, particularly against retroviruses such as HIV. This protein functions as a deoxynucleoside triphosphate triphosphohydrolase, which hydrolyzes dNTPs, thereby controlling their levels in the cell and influencing genomic stability and cell proliferation. The study of SAMHD1 has gained prominence due to its multifaceted role in various biological processes and its implications in viral pathogenesis, especially in the context of HIV-1 infection where it acts as a restriction factor, preventing the virus from replicating in certain immune cells. Additionally, mutations or dysregulation of SAMHD1 have been linked to immunodeficiency disorders and certain cancers, underscoring its importance in human health. Thus, the recombinant expression and purification of SAMHD1 have become crucial for biochemical and structural studies aimed at understanding its mechanisms of action. This research not only sheds light on the intricate workings of the immune system but also paves the way for the development of novel antiviral strategies and therapeutic approaches targeting SAMHD1 in the treatment of viral infections and associated diseases.
