Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
COLEC12, a member of the collectin family of C-type lectins, plays a crucial role in innate immunity by recognizing and binding to various pathogens, including bacteria and viruses. It is primarily expressed in macrophages and dendritic cells, where it contributes to the modulation of immune responses. Research has indicated that COLEC12 is involved in the clearance of apoptotic cells and the enhancement of phagocytosis, making it essential for maintaining tissue homeostasis and modulating inflammation. Additionally, studies have suggested that COLEC12 may have implications in various disease states, including autoimmune disorders and infections. The recombinant form of COLEC12 has been developed for in vitro and in vivo studies to better understand its functional properties and therapeutic potential. By generating and characterizing this recombinant protein, researchers aim to elucidate its role in immune regulation and its potential as a biomarker or therapeutic target in immunological diseases. The exploration of COLEC12’s mechanisms of action could pave the way for novel immunotherapeutic strategies, enhancing the body’s ability to combat infections and manage inflammatory responses.
