Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The SLC45A2 gene, encoding a transporter protein, has gained significant attention in recent years due to its vital role in pigmentation and potential implications in various diseases, including melanoma. This gene is known to influence the synthesis of melanin, the pigment responsible for coloration in skin, hair, and eyes. Variants of SLC45A2 have been associated with variations in skin pigmentation, particularly in populations of European descent, linking it to UV sensitivity and risks associated with skin cancer. Additionally, research indicates that SLC45A2 may play a role in cellular processes such as ion transport and pH regulation, further underscoring its biological significance. The recombinant expression of SLC45A2 protein facilitates the exploration of its structure-function relationship and interactions with other cellular components. This can provide insights into its functional mechanisms and potential therapeutic applications, particularly in dermatology and oncology. Understanding SLC45A2 through recombinant protein studies is essential for elucidating its contribution to pigmentation disorders and consequently developing targeted strategies for prevention and treatment.
