Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
DKC1, or Dyskerin, is a highly conserved RNA-binding protein that plays a critical role in the biogenesis of ribosomes and the maintenance of telomeres. Mutations in the DKC1 gene are associated with a rare genetic disorder known as Dyskeratosis Congenita, which is characterized by bone marrow failure, skin abnormalities, and an increased risk of cancer. The study of DKC1 and its recombinant protein is crucial for understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying these diseases, particularly how DKC1 dysfunction affects ribosome synthesis and telomere length regulation. By producing recombinant DKC1 protein, researchers can perform structure-function studies, explore its interactions with various RNAs, and investigate its role in cellular processes such as cell proliferation and senescence. Additionally, recombinant DKC1 can be used as a tool for drug screening and therapeutic development aimed at ameliorating the effects of DKC1 mutations. Understanding the properties and functions of the DKC1 protein is essential not only for elucidating the pathophysiology of related diseases but also for potential applications in regenerative medicine and cancer therapy.
