  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

CARD9 (Caspase Recruitment Domain-containing protein 9) is a crucial adaptor protein involved in the immune response, particularly in the signaling pathways of innate immunity. It plays a significant role in mediating the responses of immune cells, such as dendritic cells and macrophages, to various pathogens, including fungi and bacteria. CARD9 facilitates the activation of nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) and mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) pathways, leading to the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, which are essential for an effective immune response. Research has shown that mutations in the CARD9 gene can lead to a range of immunological disorders, including increased susceptibility to fungal infections and certain autoimmune diseases. The recombinant CARD9 protein is extensively studied for its potential therapeutic applications, such as in vaccine development or immunotherapy, by providing insights into how CARD9 mediates immune signaling and might be harnessed to enhance immune responses. Recent advancements in protein engineering have made it feasible to produce CARD9 in a recombinant form, allowing researchers to investigate its structural properties and interactions with other key signaling molecules in the immune system. Understanding CARD9's functions and regulatory mechanisms is essential for developing novel strategies to manipulate immune responses, thus improving treatment options for infectious and autoimmune diseases. As such, the study of CARD9 recombinant protein is not only pivotal for basic immunology research but may also pave the way for innovative therapeutic interventions targeting immune-related disorders.
