Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
FLOT2, or flotillin-2, is a membrane protein that plays a crucial role in the formation and function of lipid rafts, which are specialized microdomains in the cell membrane involved in various cellular processes, including signaling, endocytosis, and trafficking. Research into FLOT2 has gained increasing attention due to its association with several physiological and pathological conditions, such as cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, and infections. FLOT2 is known to facilitate the internalization of pathogens and signaling molecules by promoting the clustering of receptors and other proteins in lipid rafts. The characterization of FLOT2 as a potential biomarker and therapeutic target has driven the need for producing recombinant FLOT2 protein to study its function, interactions, and structural properties in detail. Recombinant protein expression systems allow for the generation of ample quantities of pure FLOT2, enabling researchers to investigate its role in various cellular contexts and explore its potential as a drug target. Furthermore, understanding the mechanisms underlying FLOT2-mediated processes can uncover novel strategies for therapeutic intervention in diseases where lipid raft dynamics are disrupted. Overall, the study of FLOT2 and its recombinant protein represents a significant avenue in cell biology and therapeutic development, with implications for improving disease outcomes and therapeutic precision.
