  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

DDX58, also known as RIG-I (retinoic acid-inducible gene I), is a crucial member of the DExD/H-box helicase family that plays a pivotal role in the innate immune response to viral infections. This protein functions as a pattern recognition receptor, detecting viral RNA in the cytoplasm and activating signaling pathways that lead to the production of type I interferons and pro-inflammatory cytokines. Given its essential function in antiviral defense, DDX58 has garnered significant attention in research focused on infectious diseases and immunology. The study of DDX58 recombinant proteins aims to elucidate its structure-function relationships and regulatory mechanisms in immune responses. Additionally, understanding how DDX58 interacts with viral components can provide insights into viral evasion strategies and inform therapeutic interventions. The use of recombinant DDX58 in experimental settings allows for the detailed analysis of its biochemical properties, signaling dynamics, and potential modulation by pharmacological agents. As such, ongoing research into DDX58 not only enhances our understanding of host-pathogen interactions but also holds promise for the development of novel antiviral strategies and immunotherapeutics.
