简介
AITRL, a type II transmembrane protein, is a ligand for glucocorticoid-induced TNFR-related protein (GITR). When AITRL binds to GITR, GITR can produce costimulatory signals that regulate T-cell proliferation and effector functions. GITR/AITRL interaction plays a role in the pathogenesis of tumor, inflammation, as well as autoimmune diseases[1]. Besides, AITRL plays a role in endothelial cells (EC)-activation and increases STAT-1 phosphorylation and the expression of adhesion molecules (VCAM-1, ICAM-1)[2]. AITRL/TNFSF18 Protein, Human (HEK293, Fc) is a recombinant human AITRL (Q72-S199) with C-terminal mFc tag, which is expressed in HEK293.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
AITRL (Apo2 Ligand/TNFSF18) is a member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) superfamily, known for its role in immune modulation and cell survival. Research into AITRL has gained traction due to its potential implications in cancer therapy, autoimmune diseases, and chronic inflammatory conditions. This protein acts by engaging its receptors on various immune cells, thus modulating their functions and promoting T cell activation and survival, which can be pivotal in both immune responses and tumor progression. The development of recombinant AITRL/TNFSF18 trimers aims to enhance its therapeutic efficacy by increasing its stability, bioavailability, and engagement with its receptors compared to monomeric or dimeric forms. Understanding its structure and function is crucial for harnessing its potential in therapeutic applications, particularly in designing targeted cancer immunotherapies that can boost anti-tumor immunity. Furthermore, the ability to produce AITRL/TNFSF18 as a trimer provides a basis for exploring its interactions with other immune modulators and optimizing its use in clinical settings. Overall, the study of AITRL/TNFSF18 trimeric recombinant proteins is poised to contribute valuable insights into immune regulation and facilitate the development of innovative treatment strategies.
