PPAR gamma

简介
The PPAR gamma protein is a nuclear receptor that binds to peroxisome proliferators and is activated upon ligand binding to specific PPREs on DNA. It regulates target gene transcription and controls fatty acid metabolism. PPAR gamma Protein, Human (C-His, solution) is the recombinant human-derived PPAR gamma protein, expressed by E. coli , with C-6*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPAR-γ) is a nuclear receptor that plays a critical role in the regulation of fatty acid metabolism and glucose homeostasis. As a member of the PPAR family, PPAR-γ is highly expressed in adipose tissue and is pivotal for adipogenesis, the process through which pre-adipocytes differentiate into mature adipocytes. Its activation by endogenous ligands, such as fatty acids and eicosanoids, as well as pharmaceutical agents like thiazolidinediones, enhances insulin sensitivity and is implicated in the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Research has shown that PPAR-γ also influences other critical biological processes, including inflammation and cell proliferation, linking it to various pathologies beyond metabolic disorders, such as cancer and cardiovascular diseases. Given its significant role in metabolic regulation and pathological conditions, recombinant PPAR-γ protein has become an important tool for studying its functional mechanisms, ligand interactions, and the effects of specific mutations. By producing and characterizing recombinant PPAR-γ, researchers aim to elucidate its structure-function relationships and therapeutic potentials, paving the way for novel treatments that target PPAR-γ pathways. The understanding of PPAR-γ biology through recombinant protein studies may ultimately lead to innovative strategies for managing obesity-related conditions and improving metabolic health.
