简介
The S100A6 protein is a key calcium sensor that actively promotes cellular calcium signaling and is involved in multiple processes, including actin cytoskeletal reorganization and cell motility. As a homodimer binding two calcium ions, it interacts with TPR-containing proteins, CACYBP, ANXA2, ANXA11, SUGT1, tropomyosin, TP53, PPP5C, and TPPP. S100A6 Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived S100A6 protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-6*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
S100A6 is part of the S100 protein family, which is characterized by its calcium-binding capabilities and is implicated in various cellular processes, including cell growth, differentiation, and motility. Research into S100A6 has gained significance due to its role in multiple physiological and pathological conditions, such as cancer, inflammation, and neurodegenerative diseases. Elevated levels of S100A6 have been associated with tumor progression and metastasis, making it a potential biomarker and therapeutic target in oncology. The protein functions through interactions with various cellular partners and can influence signaling pathways, thereby modulating cellular responses to stress and environmental cues. Given its versatile roles, the production and characterization of recombinant S100A6 protein are crucial for elucidating its mechanisms of action and exploring its potential clinical applications. By using recombinant DNA technology, researchers can generate pure S100A6 proteins for structure-function studies, interaction assays, and the development of S100A6 inhibitors or modifiers. This research not only aids in understanding the biological functions of S100A6 but also provides insights into its potential therapeutic applications, particularly in cancer diagnostics and treatments. Overall, the study of recombinant S100A6 protein holds promise for advancing our understanding of its involvement in disease processes and may offer novel avenues for targeted therapies.
