简介
PODXL proteins coordinate multiple cellular functions, acting as anti-adhesion and pro-adhesion molecules. In podocytes, it maintains open filtration pathways through charge repulsion and promotes migration and cell-cell contacts in an integrin-dependent manner. PODXL Protein, Human (P.pastoris, His) is the recombinant human-derived PODXL protein, expressed by P. pastoris , with N-His labeled tag.

稳定性测试
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
保存条件 & 期限
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

运输条件
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PODXL (Podocalyxin-like protein) is a member of the CD34 family of sialomucins and plays a crucial role in various biological processes, including cell adhesion, migration, and differentiation. Initially identified in renal podocytes, PODXL has been implicated in developmental biology and tissue regeneration. Its expression pattern is tightly regulated, with significant upregulation during embryogenesis and in certain pathological conditions such as cancer. Research has revealed that PODXL can influence tumor progression and metastasis, making it a potential target for therapeutic interventions. Additionally, its involvement in stem cell biology positions PODXL as a significant protein in regenerative medicine. Recent studies have utilized recombinant technology to produce PODXL for various applications, including investigating its role in cell signaling and its potential as a biomarker for malignancies. The ability to manipulate and study PODXL in a controlled laboratory setting has advanced our understanding of its function and provided insights into novel strategies for targeting diseases associated with its dysregulation. Thus, the exploration of PODXL as a recombinant protein continues to offer valuable information for both basic and applied research in cell biology and oncology.
