Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Kilon/NEGR1 is a protein of significant interest in the field of neuroscience, primarily due to its association with neurogenesis and synaptic function. It was initially identified as a gene linked to neuronal development and has been implicated in various neurodevelopmental and neuropsychiatric disorders, including schizophrenia and autism. Research indicates that Kilon/NEGR1 plays a crucial role in the regulation of neuronal cell adhesion, which is essential for proper synapse formation and maintenance. This protein is thought to be involved in the signaling pathways that govern neuronal connectivity and plasticity. Given its critical function in the nervous system, the study of Kilon/NEGR1 has garnered attention for potential therapeutic applications. Researchers are exploring the mechanisms of Kilon/NEGR1's action, including its interactions with other proteins and its influence on cellular processes like migration and differentiation. Understanding the role of Kilon/NEGR1 at a molecular level may provide insights into the underlying mechanisms of brain disorders, ultimately leading to novel strategies for treatment or intervention in various neurological conditions. As such, investigations into the recombinant expression and functional characterization of Kilon/NEGR1 protein are vital for elucidating its contributions to neural health and disease.
