Gene name
CTHRC1

简介
CTHRC1, with predicted Wnt-protein and frizzled binding activity, influences cell migration. Located in the extracellular matrix, this protein, implicated in Barrett's esophagus, exhibits biased expression in lung (RPKM 46.1) and muscle (RPKM 36.6), suggesting its role in diverse physiological processes across tissues. CTHRC1 Protein, Rat (HEK293, His) is the recombinant rat-derived CTHRC1 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CTHRC1 (Collagen Triple Helix Repeat-containing Protein 1) is an extracellular matrix protein that plays a crucial role in various biological processes, including cellular proliferation, migration, and angiogenesis. Its expression is significantly upregulated in pathological conditions, such as cancer, where it is implicated in tumor growth and metastasis. Research has shown that CTHRC1 interacts with collagen fibers, influencing tissue remodeling and the tumor microenvironment. Additionally, studies have suggested that CTHRC1 may serve as a potential biomarker for cancer progression and a therapeutic target due to its involvement in the invasive characteristics of cancer cells. Given its dual role in promoting both tissue repair and tumorigenesis, the development of recombinant CTHRC1 proteins for detailed functional studies has gained traction in the scientific community. These recombinant proteins are utilized to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of CTHRC1 in different biological contexts, including wound healing and cancer progression. Investigating the signaling pathways modulated by CTHRC1 could provide insights for therapeutic interventions aimed at controlling tumor growth or enhancing tissue regeneration. Overall, CTHRC1 represents a significant candidate for further exploration in regenerative medicine and oncology, making it a focal point in current biomedical research.
