  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

LAG-3 (Lymphocyte Activation Gene-3) is a critical immune checkpoint receptor that plays a significant role in modulating immune responses, particularly in T cells. It is structurally similar to CD4 and serves as an inhibitory receptor, contributing to the regulation of T cell activation and proliferation. Research into LAG-3 has gained momentum due to its involvement in immune evasion mechanisms utilized by tumors, making it a promising target for cancer immunotherapy. LAG-3 expression is frequently elevated in various cancers, including melanoma and certain hematological malignancies, where it can hinder effective anti-tumor immune responses. Moreover, LAG-3 is also implicated in autoimmune diseases, highlighting its dual role in both promoting tolerance and limiting immunity. The development of LAG-3 recombinant proteins has opened avenues for therapeutic interventions, with studies exploring LAG-3 blockade in combination with other immune checkpoint inhibitors, such as PD-1/PD-L1 antagonists, to enhance anti-tumor immunity. Additionally, LAG-3 has been investigated as a biomarker for patient stratification in immunotherapy treatments. Overall, the ongoing research into LAG-3 and its engineered proteins aims to unravel the complexities of immune regulation and improve therapeutic strategies in oncology and autoimmune conditions.
