简介
IFN-alpha 2 (IFNA2), belongs to type I interferon family, is a protein secreted by cells infected by a virus and acting on other cells to inhibit viral infection[1]. IFN-alpha 2 increases the frequencies of cytotoxic CD8+ T cells and induces CD4+ T cell depletion[3]. IFN-alpha 2a/IFNA2 Protein, Human (C24-E188, R46K) contains 165 a.a., is produced in E. coli with tag free.

稳定性测试
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
保存条件 & 期限
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

运输条件
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Interferon-alpha 2 (IFN-alpha 2, or IFNA2) is a type of cytokine that plays a crucial role in the immune response against viral infections and malignancies. It is particularly known for its antiviral, antiproliferative, and immunomodulatory effects, making it an essential component in therapeutic strategies for various diseases, including hepatitis C and certain types of cancer. The recombinant form of IFN-alpha 2 has been extensively studied and developed for clinical use, providing targeted therapeutic benefits while minimizing systemic side effects. Research has shown that IFNA2 can enhance the activity of immune cells, such as natural killer (NK) cells and T lymphocytes, which are vital for the body’s defense mechanisms. Moreover, its potential synergistic effects when combined with other medications have opened avenues for innovative treatment regimens. Given the rising prevalence of viral infections and cancers worldwide, continued research into IFN-alpha 2, including the optimization of its recombinant production and understanding its molecular mechanisms, remains a high priority in biomedical research. As understanding of IFNA2's role in modulating immune responses deepens, it may lead to novel therapeutic applications and improved patient outcomes in the fight against infectious diseases and cancer.
