Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Efemp1, or EGFR-pathway-regulated protein 1, is a protein that plays a critical role in cellular processes, including cell growth, differentiation, and apoptosis. It has garnered attention due to its association with various diseases, particularly in the context of cancer and age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Research indicates that the expression of Efemp1 is regulated by the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) signaling pathway, which is a key player in tumor progression and resistance to therapy. The understanding of Efemp1’s functional mechanisms could provide insights into its role in disease pathogenesis, potentially identifying it as a therapeutic target. Recombinant Efemp1 protein has been developed to facilitate in-depth studies of its biological functions and interactions in vitro and in vivo. This recombinant protein allows researchers to explore the molecular pathways influenced by Efemp1, assess its impact on tumor cell behavior, and evaluate its potential as a biomarker for specific cancers or AMD. The elucidation of Efemp1’s structure and function, coupled with the advancement of techniques in protein engineering, paves the way for innovative approaches in drug design and therapeutic interventions. As research progresses, understanding the implications of Efemp1 in disease contexts may lead to new strategies for diagnosis and treatment, highlighting its significance in both basic and translational research.
