Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
MATN2, or Matrilin-2, is an extracellular matrix protein that plays a crucial role in the structural integrity and functional regulation of various tissues, particularly in the musculoskeletal system. It is a member of the matrilin family, characterized by the presence of several Ig-like domains that facilitate protein-protein interactions, contributing to the formation and maintenance of the extracellular matrix. Research has shown that MATN2 is involved in processes such as cartilage development, tissue repair, and inflammation, making it a significant target for understanding diseases like osteoarthritis and other connective tissue disorders. The aberrant expression or mutations in the MATN2 gene have been linked to various developmental and degenerative diseases, highlighting the protein's importance in maintaining tissue homeostasis. Consequently, the study of MATN2 recombinant proteins has garnered interest in both basic research and therapeutic applications. By utilizing recombinant DNA technology, researchers can produce MATN2 proteins in a controlled environment, enabling detailed studies of its biochemical properties, interactions, and role in disease mechanisms. This research not only provides insights into MATN2's function but also holds potential for developing novel strategies for the treatment and prevention of diseases associated with its dysregulation.
