Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
IFNK, or Interferon Kappa, is a member of the interferon (IFN) family, which plays a crucial role in the body’s immune response to viral infections and in the regulation of various immune processes. Recent studies have highlighted the importance of IFNK in mediating antiviral activities and modulating inflammatory responses. The need for research into IFNK has emerged due to its potential therapeutic applications, particularly in the context of autoimmunity, viral infections, and cancer. Unlike classical type I interferons, IFNK exhibits unique properties and signaling pathways, raising interest in understanding its specific functions and mechanisms of action. Researchers are focusing on the characterization and production of recombinant IFNK proteins, which can be utilized to investigate its biological effects and therapeutic potential. By exploring the structure-function relationships and signaling mechanisms of IFNK, scientists aim to uncover new insights into its role in immunity and develop innovative strategies for disease treatment. The ongoing studies on IFNK hold promise for enhancing our understanding of immune regulation and developing novel immunotherapeutic approaches.
