Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
KCC3, or K-Cl cotransporter 3, is a member of the cation-chloride cotransporter family that plays a critical role in maintaining cellular homeostasis by regulating intracellular ion concentrations and volume. Its function is particularly significant in specific tissues such as the brain, kidney, and muscle, where it contributes to processes like cell volume regulation, neuronal excitability, and the reabsorption of chloride ions. Dysregulation of KCC3 has been implicated in various pathological conditions, including epilepsy, hypertension, and other neurological disorders. Research efforts have focused on the structural and functional characterization of KCC3, alongside investigations into its regulation and interaction with other cellular pathways. Recombinant KCC3 proteins produced in various expression systems, such as insect cells or mammalian cells, serve as valuable tools for studying the cotransporter's activity, pharmacology, and potential as a therapeutic target. Recent studies aim to elucidate the conformational dynamics of KCC3 and its modulation by different ions and small molecules, paving the way for the development of specific inhibitors or activators that could be utilized in clinical settings. Understanding the role of KCC3 in health and disease could lead to novel interventions for related disorders and contribute to the broader field of ion transport research. As KCC3 continues to be a focal point of cellular transport studies, further investigations into its biophysical properties and functional mechanisms remain essential for advancing therapeutic strategies.
