Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ADAM17, also known as A Disintegrin and Metalloproteinase 17, is a crucial member of the ADAM family of proteins, which play significant roles in cell signaling, adhesion, and the ectodomain shedding of various membrane proteins. Its primary functions include the cleavage of pro-inflammatory cytokines and growth factors, making it pivotal in inflammatory processes and tissue remodeling. Dysregulation of ADAM17 has been implicated in various pathological conditions, including cancer, autoimmune diseases, and cardiovascular disorders. Given its involvement in important physiological and pathological mechanisms, the recombinant production of ADAM17 has gained attention in research. By creating recombinant ADAM17 proteins, scientists can study the protein's biological functions, enzyme kinetics, and interactions with substrates in a controlled manner. This research can help elucidate the role of ADAM17 in disease processes and may pave the way for the development of targeted therapies that inhibit or modulate its activity. Additionally, recombinant ADAM17 can serve as a valuable tool for screening potential inhibitors and understanding the molecular mechanisms that govern its activity. Thus, the study of recombinant ADAM17 is not only essential for understanding its biological significance but also for exploring its potential as a therapeutic target in various diseases.
