Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PEX19 is a key protein involved in the biogenesis and maintenance of peroxisomes, which are essential organelles responsible for various metabolic processes, including fatty acid oxidation and reactive oxygen species detoxification. Defects in peroxisomal functions can lead to severe metabolic disorders such as Zellweger syndrome and X-linked adrenoleukodystrophy. PEX19 functions as an import receptor, facilitating the transport of peroxisomal membrane proteins (PMPs) from the cytosol to the peroxisome membrane, a critical step in peroxisome assembly. Understanding the molecular mechanisms of PEX19 and its interactions with various PMPs is crucial for elucidating the pathways that govern peroxisome biogenesis and function. Recent studies have focused on characterizing the structure and dynamic behavior of PEX19, as well as its role in recognizing and binding to different PMPs. The exploration of PEX19 recombinant protein provides a valuable tool for biochemical assays and functional studies, contributing to a better understanding of its role in peroxisomal metabolism and the identification of potential therapeutic targets for related disorders. Advances in this research could ultimately pave the way for novel strategies in the treatment of peroxisomal diseases and enhance our knowledge of organelle biogenesis in general.
