Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The 5-HT1A receptor, a subtype of the serotonin receptor family, plays a pivotal role in mediating serotonin's effects on mood, anxiety, and cognition, making its study crucial for understanding various neuropsychiatric disorders, such as depression and schizophrenia. This G-protein coupled receptor (GPCR) is predominantly expressed in the central nervous system, influencing neurotransmission and neuroplasticity. Research has revealed that the 5-HT1A receptor is involved in several cellular signaling pathways, impacting neuronal excitability and synaptic plasticity. Given the receptor's significance, the production of recombinant HTR1A proteins facilitates detailed biochemical and pharmacological investigations. The recombinant protein allows for various assays, including ligand binding studies, functional assays, and structural analyses, which are essential for drug discovery and the development of therapeutic agents targeting 5-HT1A receptors. Furthermore, elucidating the precise molecular mechanisms of HTR1A receptor signaling can provide insights into the receptor's role in health and disease, thereby advancing our understanding of its potential as a pharmacological target. Overall, the recombinant HTR1A protein serves as a critical tool in neuroscience research, contributing to the therapeutic strategies aimed at treating serotonin-related disorders.
