Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Lire1, a member of the Ly-49 family of lectin-like receptors, has garnered significant attention in immunological research due to its pivotal role in the regulation of natural killer (NK) cell activity. Discovered as a key player in the recognition of MHC class I molecules, Lire1 serves as an inhibitory receptor on NK cells, preventing them from attacking healthy cells that express these molecules. This function is crucial for maintaining immune tolerance and preventing autoimmunity. Aberrations in Lire1 expression or function may contribute to various pathological conditions, including cancer, where tumor cells often downregulate MHC class I to escape immune surveillance. Research efforts have focused on the structural elucidation of Lire1 and its interactions with MHC class I, providing insights into its mechanism of action and potential therapeutic applications. The development of recombinant Lire1 proteins has enabled detailed studies of its binding properties and functional assays, paving the way for novel strategies to enhance NK cell responses against tumors or to mitigate unwanted immune responses in autoimmune diseases. As understanding of Lire1's immunological role expands, it holds promise for therapeutic interventions aimed at modulating NK cell activity in various disease contexts.
