Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PCDHGC4 (Protocadherin Gamma Subfamily C4) is a member of the protocadherin family, which is implicated in various cellular processes, including cell adhesion, signaling, and neurodevelopment. These proteins play critical roles in the formation and maintenance of synapses in the nervous system, influencing neuronal connectivity and function. Studies have indicated that PCDHGC4 may be involved in neuropsychiatric disorders and cognitive functions, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic target. Given the complexity of its interactions and the specificities of its biological functions, researchers have sought to produce recombinant PCDHGC4 protein to better understand its structural properties and functional mechanisms. By creating a stable recombinant form of this protein, scientists aim to elucidate its role in neural development, synaptic plasticity, and its impact on the pathophysiology of neurological diseases. The study of PCDHGC4 in its recombinant form not only aids in deciphering its biological significance but also provides insights into the broader context of protocadherin functions in cellular communication and brain health. Understanding these dynamics is crucial for developing strategies to address disorders associated with dysregulation of protocadherin proteins, thereby advancing the field of neurobiology and therapeutic interventions.
