Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ABCB6 is a member of the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter family, primarily involved in the transport of various molecules across cellular membranes. Research has highlighted its critical role in the cellular uptake of porphyrins, which are essential for heme biosynthesis. The ABCB6 protein is predominantly expressed in the liver and erythroid cells, suggesting its significant involvement in hematopoiesis and possibly in iron metabolism. Mutations or dysregulation of ABCB6 have been linked to disorders such as porphyria and other hematological conditions. Additionally, studies indicate that ABCB6 may play a role in drug resistance by mediating the efflux of therapeutic agents. The recombinant expression of ABCB6 protein in various systems has facilitated functional studies aimed at elucidating its transport mechanisms, substrate specificity, and potential interactions with other cellular components. Given the clinical relevance of ABCB6 in both genetic disorders and pharmacological responses, continued research into its structural and functional properties is essential for developing targeted therapies and understanding its broader biological implications. Understanding ABCB6 at a molecular level could lead to innovative strategies for managing related diseases and enhancing therapeutic efficacy in clinical settings.
