Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ABCA8 (ATP-binding cassette sub-family A member 8) is a member of the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter superfamily, which plays crucial roles in various biological processes, including lipid metabolism, drug transport, and cellular signaling. This particular protein has garnered attention due to its potential involvement in lipid homeostasis and its implications in various diseases, such as cardiovascular disorders and certain cancers. Research has indicated that ABCA8 might participate in the transport of specific lipids across cellular membranes, influencing cellular function and integrity. The study of recombinant ABCA8 protein is critical for understanding its structure-function relationship, enabling scientists to investigate its mechanisms of action at a molecular level. By producing and characterizing this recombinant protein, researchers aim to elucidate the role of ABCA8 in physiological and pathological contexts, providing insights that could lead to the development of novel therapeutic strategies. Moreover, understanding the molecular interactions of ABCA8 with other cellular components may reveal potential regulatory pathways involved in lipid metabolism and disease progression. As such, ongoing studies focused on the recombinant expression, purification, and functional analysis of ABCA8 are of paramount importance in both basic and applied biomedical research.
