Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
MOCOS (Molybdenum Cofactor Sulfurase) is an essential enzyme involved in the biosynthesis of molybdenum cofactor, which plays a critical role in various biological processes, particularly in the metabolism of sulfur-containing compounds and the detoxification of reactive oxygen species. Mutations in the MOCOS gene are linked to serious health conditions, including molybdenum cofactor deficiency, which can lead to severe neurological disorders and other metabolic dysfunctions. The study of recombinant MOCOS protein has garnered significant interest due to its potential implications in understanding these diseases and developing therapeutic interventions. By producing MOCOS in a controlled laboratory setting, researchers can investigate its structural and functional properties, explore the mechanisms underlying its enzyme activity, and assess the effects of specific mutations that impact its function. Additionally, recombinant MOCOS can serve as a valuable tool for screening drugs or small molecules that may help restore its activity in deficient individuals. The advancements in protein engineering techniques and expression systems, such as yeast or bacterial models, have further facilitated the in-depth study of MOCOS, enabling scientists to elucidate its biochemical pathways and interactions. Overall, research on recombinant MOCOS protein holds promise not only for understanding molybdenum cofactor-related disorders but also for broader applications in biochemistry and molecular biology.
