Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
NFS1, or cysteine desulfurase, is a key enzyme involved in the biosynthesis of iron-sulfur (Fe-S) clusters, which are crucial cofactors for a wide range of cellular processes, including electron transport and enzymatic reactions. The proper functioning of NFS1 is essential for mitochondrial health and cellular metabolism, with its dysfunction being linked to various pathological conditions, such as neurodegenerative diseases and cancer. Recent research has focused on the structural and functional characterization of NFS1 through recombinant protein technology. The expression and purification of NFS1 in heterologous systems allow for in-depth studies of its enzymatic activity, regulation, and interaction with other mitochondrial proteins. Understanding the mechanism of NFS1 at the molecular level could provide insights into the pathways of Fe-S cluster assembly and reveal potential therapeutic targets for diseases associated with mitochondrial dysfunction. Moreover, the study of NFS1 is critical for the development of biotechnological applications that harness Fe-S clusters in synthetic biology and bioengineering. As a result, research on recombinant NFS1 proteins has gained significant attention, aiming to elucidate its role in cellular metabolism and its implications for health and disease.
