Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SFRP5 (Secreted Frizzled-Related Protein 5) is a member of the SFRP family, which acts as an antagonist to the Wnt signaling pathway. This pathway plays a crucial role in various developmental processes and its dysregulation is associated with numerous diseases, including cancer and metabolic disorders. SFRP5 has garnered attention for its potential role in modulating inflammation and insulin sensitivity, making it a target of interest in obesity and diabetes research. Recent studies have suggested that SFRP5 may influence adipocyte function and fatty acid metabolism, and its levels are altered in conditions such as obesity and cardiovascular diseases. The recombinant protein form of SFRP5 is of particular interest for research, as it allows for detailed studies on its structural and functional properties. Understanding how SFRP5 interacts with other components of the Wnt pathway and its downstream effects could provide insights into therapeutic interventions for related diseases. Furthermore, characterizing the role of SFRP5 in different biological contexts could enhance our understanding of its potential as a biomarker or therapeutic target. Overall, the exploration of SFRP5 and its recombinant forms represents a promising avenue for investigating the complex interplay between cellular signaling pathways and disease entities.
