Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
OR2M3 is a member of the olfactory receptor family, specifically classified within the class of G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). It has garnered interest due to its potential role in mediating the sense of smell, influencing behaviors related to odor detection, and possibly playing a part in the human immune response. Research on OR2M3 has revealed its involvement in various physiological processes, including the modulation of neuronal signaling pathways and its response to specific odorants. Moreover, studies have suggested that olfactory receptors like OR2M3 may have functions beyond traditional olfaction, including roles in reproductive biology and cancer progression. The recombination of OR2M3 and production of recombinant proteins allow for detailed investigations into its structure-function relationships, signaling mechanisms, and potential therapeutic applications. Understanding OR2M3 can lead to insights into how olfactory receptors contribute to sensory perception and could inform the development of novel approaches for addressing olfactory disorders, enhancing flavor and fragrance industries, or exploiting its signaling pathways for innovative therapeutic strategies. Overall, the characterization of OR2M3 as a recombinant protein stands as a pivotal aspect of advancing our comprehension of olfactory receptor biology and its broader implications in health and disease.
