Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PCDH21, or protocadherin 21, is a member of the protocadherin family of proteins, which play essential roles in cell adhesion and neuronal development. It is primarily expressed in the retinal tissue and is believed to be involved in the establishment of synaptic connections in the retina, making it crucial for visual perception. Research into PCDH21 has gained traction due to its potential involvement in retinal diseases and disorders, particularly those related to photoreceptor function and signaling. Recombinant PCDH21 protein studies are vital for understanding its structure-function relationships, interactions with other cellular components, and mechanisms of action in neuronal contexts. By expressing and purifying PCDH21 in vitro, researchers aim to characterize its biochemical properties and investigate its role in retinal cell communication. Furthermore, understanding PCDH21's function may provide insights into the molecular basis of various retinal pathologies, paving the way for potential therapeutic approaches. Overall, the study of recombinant PCDH21 is crucial for elucidating its biological significance and therapeutic potential in vision-related health issues.
