Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ITM2B (Integral Membrane Protein 2B) is a member of the ITM family that is primarily expressed in the brain and is implicated in various cellular processes. Its involvement in neurological functions and potential association with neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's, has made it a focal point of scientific research. Studies suggest that ITM2B may play a role in the regulation of amyloid precursor protein (APP) processing and could modulate synaptic functions, thereby influencing cognitive processes. The interest in ITM2B has surged due to its potential as a therapeutic target; understanding its structure and function could pave the way for innovative treatments for dementia-related disorders. Furthermore, the expression of ITM2B in immune cells hints at its broader implications in the immune response, suggesting possible links to neuroinflammation. Researchers are now investigating the recombinant expression of ITM2B to elucidate its functional roles and interaction mechanisms in various cellular contexts, which may contribute significantly to our understanding of brain health and the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases. Overall, the study of ITM2B positions it as a promising candidate for future therapeutic strategies aimed at ameliorating neurological impairment and advancing our knowledge of synaptic and immune system interactions.
