Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PIK3R1, the gene encoding the p85α regulatory subunit of phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K), plays a crucial role in various cellular processes, including growth, metabolism, and survival. Its dysregulation has been implicated in numerous diseases, particularly cancer, where aberrant PI3K signaling contributes to tumorigenesis and cancer progression. Given its fundamental involvement in key signaling pathways, PIK3R1 has emerged as a significant target for therapeutic interventions. Research has increasingly focused on the generation of recombinant PIK3R1 proteins to facilitate the study of its biochemistry, structure, and interactions with other molecular players in the PI3K signaling cascade. By producing and characterizing these recombinant proteins, scientists aim to elucidate the mechanistic details of PIK3R1 function, discover its potential binding partners, and investigate how mutations in PIK3R1 can alter its activity and contribute to disease. This research not only enhances the understanding of PIK3R1’s role in cellular regulation but also lays the groundwork for developing targeted therapies that could inhibit aberrant PI3K signaling in cancer and other disorders associated with PIK3R1 dysfunction. Thus, the study of recombinant PIK3R1 proteins represents a pivotal aspect of current biomedical research aimed at addressing critical health challenges.
