Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CLK2 (Clock protein 2) is a vital component of the circadian clock system, playing a key role in regulating various physiological processes through its rhythmic expression. Circadian rhythms influence sleep-wake cycles, metabolic functions, and hormone release, thereby affecting overall health and well-being. Disruptions in these rhythms have been linked to several disorders, including sleep disorders, obesity, and mood disorders. Research on CLK2 is significant because its mechanism of action can pave the way for understanding how circadian clocks influence gene expression and cellular functions at a molecular level. Studies have suggested that CLK2 interacts with numerous transcription factors and acts as a regulator of other clock-related proteins, impacting processes like cell proliferation and metabolism. Furthermore, CLK2's involvement in post-translational modifications, such as phosphorylation, underscores its importance in the fine-tuning of circadian rhythm outputs. Understanding CLK2 through recombinant protein studies offers insight into its functional properties and interactions, enabling detailed investigations into its potential as a therapeutic target for circadian-related disorders. This research not only enhances our comprehension of circadian biology but also holds promise for developing novel strategies to address associated health issues. Thus, CLK2 serves as a pivotal focus in the intersection of chronobiology and clinical research, emphasizing the critical need for further exploration of its structure and function.
